Log in to your UniFi Network application (cloud or local).
Go to Settings ⚙️ (bottom left).
Navigate to:
Internet → WAN Networks
You should see WAN1 configured already.
If you have a second ISP, click “Create New Internet” or edit WAN2.
Assign it to the secondary WAN port (e.g., WAN2, or a LAN port converted to WAN).
Configure the second WAN connection:
Connection Type → DHCP, Static IP, or PPPoE (depending on your ISP).
Apply ISP credentials if needed.
After saving, go back to:
Settings → Routing & Firewall → Load Balancing
You will see two options:
Failover Mode → Primary WAN is used all the time, secondary WAN kicks in only if primary fails.
Load Balancing Mode → Distributes traffic between both WANs. You can adjust the weight ratio (e.g., 80/20, 50/50).
Select your preferred mode:
For Failover → Set WAN1 as Primary, WAN2 as Failover.
For Load Balancing → Enable and adjust weights.
Click Apply Changes.
Go to Dashboard → Internet and confirm both WAN links show connected.
For Failover, unplug WAN1 and check if WAN2 takes over.
For Load Balancing, run a speed test or check Traffic Stats to confirm traffic is split.
