How to Enable PoE+ in UniFi Dashboard (USW Enterprise 24 PoE)

  1. Log in to UniFi Dashboard

    • Go to your UniFi Controller (UniFi OS / UniFi Cloud).

    • Sign in with your admin account.

  2. Go to Devices

    • On the left sidebar, click Devices.

    • Find and select your USW Enterprise 24 PoE switch.

  3. Access Port Settings

    • Once inside the switch view, go to the Ports tab.

    • Select the port you want to configure (the one connected to your AP, camera, or other PoE device).

    • Click the pencil (edit) icon or Configure.

  4. Enable PoE+

    • Under Port Profile or PoE Settings, look for PoE Mode.

    • Options usually are:

      • Off – disables PoE

      • PoE (802.3af) – standard PoE

      • PoE+ (802.3at) – higher power

      • PoE++ (802.3bt, if supported)

    • Choose PoE+ (802.3at).

  5. Save Changes

    • Click Apply Changes or Save.

    • The port will restart power delivery, and your device should now draw PoE+ power.

Tip: If you are powering high-demand devices (like UniFi U6-LR APs, PTZ cameras, or phones with displays), always set the port to PoE+. Otherwise, some devices might fail to boot or randomly restart.
